If you want to see Leach vs an SEC defense.

Just keep in mind, in this game Auburn's previous 4 recruiting classes averaged 8th in the country & Wazzou's averaged 60th

FWIW, Mullen's MSU team lost 24-20 that year to Auburn

If nothing else, just take the time to watch the first drive

It’s impressive... 12 plays... 75 yards... 3 rushes, 9 passes. TOUCHDOWN!!

For reference, that's the Auburn team that lost to Florida State in the national title game

Let me guess Auburn finished 12-2 and Washington State finished 6-7

Yes but WSC went to a bowl game for the first time in 10 years in Leach's 2and year.

That was also only his 2nd season at wazzu too. he walked into a really bare roster in Pullman.

This

It's amazing how much trouble college graduates appear to have putting Mike Leach's career in context of where he's coached. It's like they don't understand the sport

Look I'm just as skeptical as the next guy. Hell I absolutely hated the hire when I first heard about it, but the more I read and watch his teams he's a winner. Am I scared to death that it won't work, absofreakinglutely. BUT what if it does? With an even decent D we WILL score points and be in a lot more games we probably shouldn't. I'm cautiously optimistic, but very very excited at the same time. One thing's for sure, it should be one hell of a joy ride.

Yep ... that was their horseshoe in the pocket year. They were still good team tho.

I like the variety of personal packages 2 RB sets, even 2 TEs with a tightly bunched OL on the goalline. They motioned thevRB around and got the ball out quick. Short passes with blockers as an extension of the run

Ole miss in '18 ran a far more "air raid" O than this as far as yolo hail marrys go.

Leaches O is something we can run. As long as we get a QB that can make the reads really fast we should be able to execute it fast. I'm sure we'll have our hiccups though

One thing I really like about Shrader is how decisive he is with his reads & his pocket movement.

I think he's going to be really really good in this offense

Exactly! A bad Leach team put up yards and points at an SEC stadium vs a team that made the Natty. That proves his Os will work here far more than if it was a 10-2 WSU team, or a 7-5 Auburn

Shrader definitely has the confidence to make it work.
