This is right. Let's integrate Coach Leach's verve and pirate-ism within our own established identity, rather than trying to assume his. Our counterparts up north have made themselves a walking punchline by shifting with whatever flavor happens to be blowing in the wind. Remember, Coach Leach is here because of A) the money B) the talent C) he respects our culture/identity.

Agreed. I like the pirate theme for the coach, but really don't want to adopt the brand for the team.

I love all the pirate stuff and branding. Keep it off the uniform and field. We're the bulldogs.

But do sell merch out the wazzu (couldn't resist the pun). I wouldn't mind calling the Student section Captain Leach's Crew or something of the like. Just off the uniforms and off the field.
