They dont have a CLUE what actually went down.

The jury is still out on that.

Bert said Cohen and Napier met yesterday. That was verified to be absolute Bs. Bert is a clown.

I'd like to know why the Admins allowed this BS to go on for so long? Was this a joke that they played on the board members or were they fooled?

From one my ULL alim friends.....Billy wanted the job at about 4 mil with around 5 mil for staff. Cohen offered 2.5 mil and 4 for staff and Billy basically said go take a hike. And the rest is history.

Idk if i believe this. Leach was making $3.8 at WSU. I would think he is making at least $4M here.

It's understandable if Leach gets $4M+ and BN only got offered $2.5M considering the experience gap, but $2.5M seems low

I heard $4.2 Mil. I doubt he is taking a pay cut.

Those were the numbers being thrown around. I would bet that it was either the buyout number or some other issues. I have zero sources so that is just a guess.

Lol we offered JoMo about 3 and he asked for less to have more for assistants, ended up with 2.7M.

No way we ended up even more desperate than then, and went even cheaper on a guy with a much better resume than JoMo had.... all to offer 4+M to our #2 target? What?

Napier didnt want to come here because it's a hard place to look good at to Blue Bloods; they see 8-4 and go "we can do better than that" even though the 4 loses were to teams with vastly better recruiting and more money. BN would rather wait a year and go to a Baylor type situation where you can be the 25th best team in the country and still go 10-2

If that's who he is then we don't want that kind of thinking anyway. That's a losers mentality. **** him.

This. He didn't have the balls to give it a shot. Hope everything works out for him down the road.

There's more bs in this statement than Bert's original post.

Looks like Bert and Rouge don't really have as much to say as they pretended.

I wonder if he just wanted his name out associated with the search and at the end just kept asking for more so he had a reason not to take the job. He could have had no real intention of ever taking the job. Now next year his name will get more traction since a SEC school was really considering him.

At the end of the day, we are probably better off with Mike Leach.

Which is actually what Bert said on Tuesday that Napier was wanting.

Bert said that most things were agreed to but some sticking points were house allowance and other things. I believe he said the salaries were agreed to on both sides.
