This is not a post to sell you on Sark, it's simply a post examine what Cohen is thinking.

- Sark is 45 years, entering the prime of his coaching career, & has as much experience as anyone could ever ask for. Head coach at U Dub & USC & OC for Atlanta Falcons & Bama

- He got his first head coaching at Washington at 35 years, & did such a good job that he was hired away by USC after they fired, you guessed it: Lane Kiffin. You don't get hired as a head coach at 35 unless people think you are damn talented.

- At USC Sark fell into some alcohol issues fell off the map. It appears as though he's learn to handle this.

- I have no doubt that Cohen is listening to Saban during this since he's gone after Judge & Sark. I wonder who Saban thinks is better between Sark & Kiffin? Hmmm I have a guess.

- At 35 years old, a somewhat Sober Sark took over an 0-12 Washington program & really did a wonderful job. Combine that with the fact that he's coach all over the country, you have a guy that can recruit nationally.

- As we've seen with Eddie O & Mack Brown, guys can really improve things the 2nd time around. Sark's resume is far more extensive than Napier's & my guess is that Saban thinks Sark is a far better coach.

Here are Sark's numbers at U Dub. Remember!!!! He took an 0-12 team

Saban ain't talkin to Cohen. And I'm at the point of WTF ... LSU I wasn't thrilled with Ogre either. Maybe we'll somehow get miraculously lucky.

Since you are examining what Cohen is thinking, Cohen is thinking you need to drop the comments on the alcohol, being sober, etc. That is all in the past and no need to bring that up continually. Saban hasn't had an issue with it. Cohen is thinking too that we don't use anything you post on this board to make any decisions.

I think it'll get dropped the moment we discuss it. When you hire someone for a $4 million dollar job, it's perfectly Ok to discuss everything.

This goes with the territory. We'll talk about everything related to this hire. In fact, I bet the guy has a heck of a redemption story & he'll even talk about it

Then let him do the talking then if he wants too.

I'm sure Cohen screwed it up. I've decided that John can't deal with anyone with a strong personality. He has to know that he is in charge of everything. Mr. Cohen as JoMo would say which was ridiculous.

He was/is a hell of a coach. He has his demons but if he has overcome those and can get a good staff in we might be alright. I'm at least more optimistic about next year than I was with JoMo.
