We have superior athletes who make good plays, and we play tough but imperfect D.

On O, we look like complete crap more often than not, make zero coaching adjustments, dont have game plans that take advantage of an advantage we have (say getting the ball to Pery or Woodard 1 on 1 down low), and we make lots of mistakes like bad passes or travels or dumb fouls.

We never play clean, we never seem smooth on O. We never seem to make any adjustments.

We win with talent alone. That's why we'll probably never make it past the first round under Howland

And we never do motion, its always at least 3 guys standing completely still as 1 guy comes over to set a screen/take the ball. Its increadibly easy for the other team to keep up with mentally and physically. Theres no back door screens, isolating the post, big man crashing down after setting a screen... if we dont get fast break points or score off an Off rebound our O is 1 on 1 street ball 9 times out of 10

Not yet. He's got us back talented but he needs to go back to being more of the disciplinarian he was before his UCLA days. Not sure he will tho.

A few problems I think I see are:

1) Entire Game Discipline & Effort - Same as with Joe.
2) Team Chemistry was not good at all tonight.
3) Howland needs to work on adding some different half-court sets.

That’s the problem. He also won’t punish his players if they don’t give full effort for 40 minutes. With our talent we have, there is no reason we shouldn’t be doing what Auburn has done the last 3-4 years. Howland is underachieving big time.
