I would take this guy in a heartbeat. This is the kind of MSU guy we need. It is a gamble i will admit, but if he succeeds, i could see him being here 10+ years. Where as with a Napier, if he comes in and wins, he will leave for greener pastures the second a higher prestige and salary job is offered. I think they are because he is interviewing and have been told to push it out there. But it’s been Gene as the strongest pusher. Paul and Robbie not much at all. Steve has talked a lot more about Napier but Judge as a legit candidate.

Napier is definitely number 1, but right now I would say that Judge is number 2. He has gained A LOT of steam in the past 48 hours. And that’s just my observation on Judge. No inside knowledge on it or anything.

It has nothing to do with Dan. They get along very well. Signed a 2 years extension to stay after turning down the Bengals last year. But he would really like a crack as a HC and liked his time here. As well as his family. His son coming to play baseball is icing on the cake for the family.

He wanted the MSU HC position when Mullen left. Other than on 247, he seems to be trending more than Judge is currently. I would say yes to your first question and probably to your second question.
