Sorry to keep posting, but for 17 sakes it couldn't be more obvious what has to happen.
Keenum & Cohen need to realize that's it no longer about their ego. It's about doing what's best for MSU & about their legacy.
How do they want to be remembered?
Do they want to be:
Charles Lee - Who presided of the over hiring of Croom? One of our worst presidents ever.
Larry Templeton - His failures are well documented. Hired Croom & now forever has the nickname Lonnie Tinkle
Or do they want to be:
Doc Fogelsong - One of the worst MSU presidents ever, but fired Lonnie & hired Mullen. He's remembered well due to this regardless of how good of a president he really was
Greg Byrne - Was here for only a short time, but hired Dan Mullen. Will be forever loved.
Point is: In 20 years no one will care if you built a softball stadium or bad mitten dome. In fact, they won't remember at all what you built.
They will only associate you with what you did with the football program. The football program & how you handle it is what defines athletic directors & presidents.
For goodness sakes, please see the obvious & do what's in the best interest of MSU & your own legacy.
Do you want to come back to MSU in 20 years & be made fun of or celebrated. It's that simple
