I can't stand him saying "we had a good practice" after laying an egg. All hes doing is exposing that he has no clue what the f is wrong.

I'm an electrician. If I wire in something and it doesnt work, that looks bad but at least I can fix it. If I keep going back to the homeowner and saying "I have no idea what could be wrong, but it should be fixed now" that makes be look a lot worse than if I say "I'm so sorry, I messed up X and that should never have happened but I fixed X"

it's sad because I bet deep down the dude's a good human being and wanted to win. what sucks about college football these days is the coach has to sacrifice so much of his personal life. I get emails from my bosses boss many times at 1:00 a.m.

its just the way things go when you are top dog. The sacrifices are tough and it takes a special kinda guy to make it happen.
