Time to root for Louisville. If we get blown out in the 4th, something could happen. Our guy is still out there

Our “leadership” doesn’t have the nuts to pull the trigger.

You fire him now the recruits have an automatic out. You give I'm half the year next year and then you fire him if it looks like this. You name Shoop the interim and you have the new guy named immediately after the Egg Bowl. This is the dynamic due to the early signing date.

Under no circumstances do you keep a coach because of recruits. None.

Fire him the day after signing day then....

Exactly. and you wouldn't lose that many likely.

This makes as much sense as Joes offense

No they don?t. We do not have to grant the ones who want a release (not all of them will request a release). Then they can go through the committee process which will take a couple of months and past the Feb signing day.

You never ever ever keep a coach worrying about recruits. Once you have made your mind up that the coach has to go, you fire them. Period.

Sigh, you can't do that. The recruits will all bolt. We already have 21 signed and they do not have to honor that if we change coaches. You do exactly what I said in my first post. End of the year firings are absolutely stupid now. The early signing day changed everything.

But, but, you can't fire him after 2 years. And, and, you can't fire a coach who took you to a bowl. And, but, just wait until he gets his guys in there. Don't stop believing!!*****

You fire him 3-4 games in next year if there is no improvement.

That’s just asinine. We have all the evidence we need NOW.

That’s not true at all. NLI is a legally binding contract. We could choose to allow them to be released but we absolutely do not have to because of a coaching change. There is no rule allowing for that

Unlikely that many would bolt anyway. Most schools already have signed close to a full class. Hire a decent coach most would stay. But it's a moot point anyway.

I?m not. There is no rule that grants them a release. They could choose to ask the school to release them and if denied, appeal to the NCAA but they do not have an automatic cause for a release

With the new stuff if they appeal they will win. Y'all are just using wishful thinking to justify what you want. You can't do this emotionally. For the record, and I don't usually say this till it's time to, but I agree it's not going to work out. You just have to plan it and the dynamic is very new. It's not really settled and nobody really knows what "normal" is right now. I still think it's going to be mid season firings when all is settled and done. You are already seeing more than you used to.

Sure! I'll agree to leave for half of what we will have to pay to get rid of Joe if we fire him. That's a deal right there, half price!

No they won’t. Name one school where this has occurred from just a coaching change.

Fire him tonight. It doesn’t matter if we lose recruits. He won’t be able to coach them effectively anyway. We are just wasting time.

If any of our signees get cold feet and don't want to give the new hire an interview, then they don't need to be here. They have to decide if they wanna win and put in the effort that is required to win. Putting in the required effort to win in the SEC is what gets you to the NFL. If you don't have that mentality, you need to bolt.

I remember when Mullen was hired our AD was on the phone with the signees. does Cohen have the same sized sack?

This. You don?t even let this mfer ride home with the team. Let his say his goodbyes and get him a one way ticket from Nash back to Pitt tonight. It doesn?t matter what recruit asks out of his LOI. This guy couldn?t coach me up after 2 100mg viagras. Anyone who still thinks he is the guy or ?deserves a chance? needs their head examined.
