They has to be a better system then what they are using to pick the top four teams.

I think I'm pretty safe in saying that the #4 team in America would be the #3 team in the SEC West, at best. Thus, not being anywhere near the #3 team in America.

I agree the system needs to be tweaked. The reason they don't is because they don't want 2-3 SEC teams in the playoffs every year. LSU/Georgia would be a better game than this.

UGA has 5 starters sitting out the Sugar Bowl. It's time to expand the playoffs.

OU beat Baylor by 3. They beat Iowa State by 1. They lost to Kansas State. OU is an above average football team in a horrible conference. Baylor made the championship game, LOL.

Won't make any difference until scholarships are decreased. The gap is too large for the Super Crooters

I mean, there was just nobody else to plausibly put in this year. It would have either been Florida or Alabama, both of whom already lost to LSU and had another loss. Maybe Oregon?

A larger playoff would have at least gotten Oklahoma out before the final 4.

This is the key. No one else was worthy of going. No one. Oklahoma was the only choice for #4. It's not like there was controversy.

The problem is that the media does the same thing every year. They drum up clearly inferior teams and don't give proper respect to the teams that actually are dominating the sport.

When are y'all going to figure out this has nothing to do with the best football, it's all just a money grab. The rich will get richer and so on.

Yeppers, and those the reason this committee focused more on "resume" at the expense of the "eye test", this year...

Don't practice a two minute drill and you're probably playing right now. Lol

LOL... that was solid! +1

Hell, don't throw 2 pick 6s, for that matter and we (shoulda) been in, too...

OU would be 7-5 in SEC and maybe 6-6 if they got a bad schedule. They lose to LSU, Bama, Aub, UF, UGA, probably TAMU and UT and UK would give them fits.

Agree this is a joke. MSU was in Big 12 we'd be a national power too.

Agreed. If you don’t play any defense, should not allowed to be in

I recall a post several years ago don't remember the teams involved (adapted for today.)

Q: Hey Oklahoma, what do you call this in the SEC?

A: Next week.

4 is perfect.

You're seeing it wrong.

Gotta expand the playoff.

Yes, there would be blowouts but it would grow interest in the sport and make sure A&M caliber teams like Oklahoma don't end up in the final 4. They'd get weeded out in the round of 8.

Hopefully, over time with an expanded playoff the top recruits may start spreading out a little bit due to more schools having a shot.

The bowl system is dying. No one cares anymore. There is nothing negative about expanding.
