Anything that needs to be discussed? Seems mighty quiet.

Lets finish strong. I hope we have at least one good surprise fall our way tomorrow. That would be cool.

If they don’t sign tomorrow I wouldn’t consider them a commit....

We have 21 commits per 247, not including the transfer kicker. If we are expecting 20 to sign, who is the 1 we aren?t? Patterson?

the question is can Jomo get anyone in this class to be a competent wideout?

Patterson is not signing. I have no idea why those guys have left him on the commit list for so long.

Looks like Ben Key is the first to sign his LOI over in Australia (guess it’s officially NSD over there).

I think with the early NSD the drama is going to be reduced somewhat. There will still be some in February. But it will be for five spots instead of 25 and then school media reporters putting out a bunch of BS about literally everyone in the entire class.

Class looks solid- but at least 2 of our top rated recruits will have to RS. Lots of dice-rolling with the juco WR's making an impact. Tells us alot about what we think we have on campus at WR.

What do you make of our WR’s in this class? Any difference makers? And do you think we go after a grad transfer WR?

Heath has to make an impact

Heath is an Alpha-Dawg and will impact this team. Problem is that he will be frustrated awhile as it will take him awhile to learn this complicated system. Same for the other jucos.

Zuber has 14 catches in 12 games
Payton has 7 catches in 12 games

They weren't hurt or anything. That's simply their production coming in as transfers. Why will this juco class be any different?

LSU, Bama, and aTm are about to knock down consecutive top 5 classes. This is the first time since at least before 2000 (quit looking there) that 3 sec west teams have gotten consecutive top 5 classes. Oh, and auburn is at #9 after being #11 last year. We've downgraded at HC... the gap is widening

I haven't looked at Auburn's class but they need a couple of impact Freshmen. They will be good but they have a couple of holes. Same with LSU. Bama is Bama and A&M will be much better next year.

He's looking good. Also has a wr transfer from Texas and a 5-star lb transfer from Georgia. If fromm leaves, I think Mullen gets smart next season

Guidry graduating will help. It absolutely puzzles me as to why he starts over Payton.

Told him to wait until Feb which means that they're most likely dropping him.

I don't get it whoever is making the call. Guidry has 7 drops this year which leads the team by a good margin. Payton every single time I've watched him busts his ass on special teams and generally catches the ball when we give him a chance. And yes, I do remember the fumbled kickoff against Auburn so he's not perfect but who really is? Payton to me appears to have a really high work ethic and in the meantime Guidry continues to not perform time and time again.

Agree 100%. But I also think part of the problem is we don't rotate the other receivers in enough. We should have played Payton, Zuber, and Austin Williams more than we did.

Guidry has shown some play making ability with the ball in his hands. I guess that is why we keep playing him. But we never get him the ball easily (end around, hitch, screen, etc) where he does not have to catch them ball in traffic. Should not be that hard.

No. We got him wide open several times the last two years and he just dropped it. When he caught it he showed he could do something with it, we need some wideouts who can play football.

ETA: The catch and run against A&M was nice in 2018 and prob won us the game, but we sign wideouts like that to do that more than once in two seasons.

This has puzzled me too. It's my main gripe about coaching decisions other than special teams.
