Would be a big blow to LSU. The guy is good and would force them to look for coaches as they prepare for a playoff game.

Does he have ties there - I would have thought he would have been interviewed for a ton of higher profile jobs (including ours a few years back) but his name never seemed to come up so I was starting to assume he just wanted to stay a DC for his career.

Why the hell would he go there? He can do a lot better than that.

I'm not so sure. I've met him and he doesn't scream "amazing head coach". He seems like career coordinator to me. Plus, he is a West Coast guy

LSU is going to lose both coordinators.

Brady should get numerous NFL offers for the same or more money than LSU

Actually- SEC salaries not only match but exceed the NFL salaries in a lot of cases. I will be surprised if LSU loses their passing game coordinator because I'm not sure he will get an NFL OC job. He is not leaving LSU to be a QB coach in the NFL for 300K. LSU is going to pay him $1.5MM to ensure the only way he leaves is for a major NFL OC job or a college HC job.

I don't think Brady is leaving

I don't think Brady is leavingIf I were Brady, I'd listen to anyone that wants to offer me an OC job anywhere. Joe Burrow only has 2 more games. And the little Brennan kid ain't Joe Burrow. (I know, I know...Coach O will find another QB from somewhere...brennn shaaafaaah)

With the new stadium completion, there just might be an effect on UNLV in addition to the Raiders. Remember, the casinos have pitched in for the new stadium and filling that stadium with big spenders for both tenants could be in the cards? Maybe the casinos could be a cash cow for investors, players, and coaches? Maybe a huge infusion of cash into UNLV facilities via big spenders?

Maybe Aranda just wants a low pressure head coaching job in a region of the country he enjoys. Nothing wrong with that. Either way he will have all the money he could ever need.... and might get the satisfaction of building something from the ground up.

That UNLV program is on the verge of a major shift. There is a huge commitment from area investors into the new stadium. And at the same time, the university and major donors are all amped up about what it could do if they bring in the right coaching staff. They could make some major west coast noise and be the "Memphis" of the west, but with a lot more to offer recruits and families. it's Vegas ....there's a lot to offer in terms of local nightlife to college students.

UNLV dreams of being in the Pac-12. They don't have much of a fanbase, but that's kinda true about half the Pac-12 anyway. If they can get a steady, stable program going, they might get an invite in a decade or so.

Alabama is a real possibility. I think he’s third on their list.

I hope he is leaving because he knows the NCAA is coming to town but that's just my wishful thinking. I want the light to shine on these money stealing coonasses in my lifetime

Really Clark?

He is not expected to be the HC, as of this morning

Sounds like what they really need to build that program up is an offensive genius, a savant, if you will.

Plenty of vendors in that town for name and likeness $$$$$ to players.

And it is Las Vegas

The new Las Vegas Stadium is luxury box orientated. Those boxes will be bought up by corporations and casinos. The stadium has actually modified before completion. More luxury boxes were incorporated into its original plan. The boxes will provide football experience for the wealthy global weekend tenants at the casinos. I believe that many thousands of seats will be filled with complimentary tickets to non residents. Anyone who wants to watch UNLV can just walk across the freeway bridge from the luxury hotel? If you question the casinos, just research Bishop Gorman High School Football. In short, tenancy in the Las Vegas Stadium will be supported by the casinos and not a fan base.
