Did Saban do something wrong?

Tua is clearly a better player

So is Tommy, especially when neither is hurt!

Not right now. Not sure Tua is a better overall player. Truth being I would take Hurts over Tua. Hurts is a tough dude and most of all a winner!

Their stats this year are almost identical.

I agree. People go too caught up on Tua worship.

Hurts is a better athlete. Tua, when healthy, is a much better quarterback. If he wasn't playing for Oklahoma I'd be rooting for Hurts to win it all.

Not sure I'm buying. He is more accurate but he also has the best WRs in CFB too (although stats this year don't appear that way and I haven't watched Hurts at all. Hurts is more accurate this year). You make Tua have to make more than one read he starts struggling a little more.

Playing in the Big 12 helps an offensive player's stats. I've really admired how Hurts has handled himself through all this. That's a cool dude,

And what good defenses did Tua face this year. Everyone wants to say SEC W is so tough. They USED to be tough.

Looking at stats for both leagues Bama played bottom feeders in SEC. Best D they played is AU at 21 (6 in SEC) and LSU at 35. Big 12 plays every team in their league and top of Big 12 as good as anybody Bama played in total D and passing D. Go check it out.

I'm with ya on this. Tua maybe a slightly better passer but hurts overall is better player and he plays every single week. He's a leader and tough as nails.
