Aaron Fitt redid the rankings based on what they did, development, etc. We were 8th in 2009 and now we are 10th. Great result. Means players got better, highly ranked were spot on. On the other hand, OM was ranked 12th in 2009 now they are unranked.

I love it when websites re-evaluate their recruiting rankings. It is very interesting and very telling of the player development that goes on in each program.

For instance, Arizona went unranked in 2009, but ended up at no. 2 when it was all said and done- same thing with USCe, except they ended up no. 3. In fact, four of the top five teams in the re-rankings weren't even in the top 25 in the original evaluation. Then of course you have teams like UM who have pretty much thrown their talent down the drain for the last few years, or at least the talent they sign that actually makes it to campus.

Baseball recruiting is so much more difficult to project because of the lack of exposure and other things- that's why you always have to take these rankings with a grain of salt. A baseball player's development is usually very unpredictable.

Big reason why I totally trust the eye of the coaches. Take Britton for example. Excellent defender but discouraged about hitting. They kept working on him and by 3rd year looks to be starting SS. Bats left throws right. He has a chance to have nice pro career.
