- Miss. State remains at #10
- Stanford moves up to #1
Miss. State showed that they can play with the nation's #1 team. Mounted a huge comeback effort, had opportunity to tie the Stanford game late. Coach Schaefer is still learning about this team, his individual personel, team's strengths, ect. I feel that the team learned a lot from the Stanford loss, including about themselves. Look for Coach Schaefer to have this team ready come NCAA Tourney time. Team has an outstanding senior guard in the ultra-quck Jordan Danberry. Rickea Jackson is starting to adjust more. Another freshman, JaMya Mingo-Young...very impressive as well. Jessika Carter much improved, coaching staff trying to get her more consistent. Big key with Carter is consistency. Sophomore, Xaria Wiggins came off the bench rebounded and defended well against Stanford. Splash Sister...Chloe Bibby is normally a solid all around type presence, experienced, very good 3 point shooter. Splash Sister...Espinoza Hunter is possibly the team's best 3 point shooter. Myah Taylor. A 3rd freshman, Aliyah Matharu has shown flashes, learning position/positions, working on decision making. ect. Also, wouldn't be surprised if we soon start seeing a good bit more of 6-6 juco transfer Yemiyah Morris coming in helping the team with rebounding, shot blocking, ect. Possibly some double post looks, with two bigs playing together. Ole Miss transfer, Promise Taylor continues to make her way back from surgery.
