If the rumors are true and we had an agreement in place then he?s just being an prick now. I really hope that?s not the case for us and for him. He doesn?t want us giving terrible reviews to any potential employers.
I think we are trying to work the agent channel to find him a landing spot where he can exit somewhat gracefully (he?s blown the opportunity to make it professional) and land on his feet with another big payday and we can avoid a buyout.
There are tons of schools up north that would love a guy who went 8-4 and 6-6 in the SEC.
We could probably even offer up $2m to aid the move
Plus we come out looking a little better for not firing him either. You have to look for win-wins when you can in this business. Joe went kamikaze in the interview and it could just end up hurting everyone although he could retire off the buyout alone.
