I hope he goes on and is successful where ever he lands. Someone may know the answer to this, isn't there a monetary incentive for making a bowl game? Is that null and void with a buyout?

Let's be honest. It wasn't a good fit because he didn't put a quality product on the field. I think we all like Moorhead personally and if we saw a decent chance he was going to win here we would have all supported him and it would have magically become a good fit. No fit is ever good when the program is sliding downhill. Only thing fit related really is that perhaps his multi-read offense might work better when playing less physically talented defenses you see more of up North.

I'm trying to calm down my excitement with this. Every time I get real excited about MSU sports it goes south for some reason.

What I love from the little bit of reading on Napier is if he see's some things he likes offensively, he'll incorporate those if he has the personnel. Also ... he seems to work with the personnel he has.

With Shoop I believe he is a top notch coordinator who has been hampered by the new/improved culture put in place with Joe.

Then there is the chemistry between the 2. I really hope they click.

This is not a typical guy getting fired, when you coach at this level, you are hired to be fired. That is why he has made 5+large over the last 2 years. If I made 5 million dollars I would have put a lot back and could live the rest of my life on that,

Neal Brown should’ve been hired in 2017 as I’ve said before. The fact he isn’t our coach is mind boggling and we hired Barkley and McSorley’s coordinator when I could’ve coached them. Neal Brown went on the road to power 5 schools and won with Troy talent like it’s was nothing.
