Napier would be who I wanted. But I am very far from "in the know".

There is not a single message board poster (who posts a lot), "in the know." People who have time to post a lot, probably don't have much going on in life, and those "in the know" are far too busy to post much.
The more I read and think about it, the more I want Hud, a proven winner, can 'cruit the South and formulate a game plan to best utilize our athlete's skillset ... plus if he averages 8 wins per year, we'd all be happy and he'd never leave.

That doesn’t mean the coach is not coaching now.. it means we’re werent gonna let Joe go and have to Pay him without having someone In line to take thE job. Just like Howland signed his contract, before Ray was fired.

Was Lane just fired for on-field performance at USC? He went 8-5, 10-2, 7-6, and then was fired when he was 3-2 his last year? Not great numbers, but didn't seem like a mid-season firing numbers. Did they just look worse than their record? Or was USC just unrealistic in thinking the PEte Carroll years were going to continue indefinitely, even after probation?

I just don’t believe we’re going the unproven coordinator approach. I wouldn’t hate Grantham being the HC. He’d be tough as hell as long as he had money to get a legit OC. But just gotta think it’s a guy with at least G5 HC experience.

I give the edge to Clawson due to the jobs he did bowling green & now Wake. He has done a pretty good job overall though his records may not show. All would be solid choices either way if we do indeed make a change.

Just like Cohens other hires, yall will not see this coming.
Mark Dantonio. His time has run its course at the other MSU. Hes going to get pushed out there and he is looking for a soft landing. He wants to be somewhere where he can win like mullen and be secure while he winds his career down. He believes this is that place
We will be his soft landing and Rutgers will be Moorheads. It is a swap that was orchestrated behind the scenes between the Big 10 and SEC. They believe it will help both schools.
All of that I can 100% confirm.
I cant confirm the reason why the conferences would actually do something positive for smaller schools, but my sources believe it will be some kind of charitable write-off

Dantonio’s buyout is $7.1 million until Jan 15, 2020 then it drops to $4.3 million...just google it...so you are saying we paid $7.1 million for a 64 year old coach on his way out at Michigan State? If we did that we need to just drop football completely....
