The family tree of your athletic department being a strait line is never a good thing.

My first thought was that’s a WAOM good ole boy hire if I’ve ever seen one.

OM will never hire an outsider which is why they will never take a step forward.

Thoughts?

And, they spent how much on their ?national? search committee for this hire?

And now will the shark fans who want to get rid of Rich Rod get their way?

Did Carter head up the consulting for the search like their new chancellor did in that search?

The next one needs to be a real AD, not an ex coach.

Everyone knew it was his for the taking when he agreed that he'd be honored to carry on the distinguished tradition of walking through the Grove hoisting a wrestling belt... was there really any other requirement to get the job?

He followed through with the student party decks. I don't see the big deal.***

Only thing left I can think of is getting "Rowdie's" approval as long as Rowdie keeps getting to give the usual pump up speech in the grove before the game--Can I get a HELL YEAH?!******* LOL at those clowns.

One thing to keep in mind when you think this is a terrible hire for OM, he worked in the athletic department for 10 years before becoming AD. He’s a billion times more qualified hire than Cohen was.

Cohen basically did as well. He was part of the Mullen hire. He was groomed with Strickland. Everyone knew Cohen was next.
