No he's not RS. He's in the rotation instantly.

Gonna be fun to watch next year if Nick returns...Nick, Iverson and Devion, oh my!

IYOK, what's your take at this point on Nick being here next year?

Devion Smith can ball. He reminds me a little of Monta, but not quite the stroke of him. Kid is going to be a very good . He's prolly a 2 and through guy.

The best comparison I could come up with was Terry Rozier. Terry had a little tighter handle & slightly better shot at that stage but they're very similar. If Deivon was 6'2" 6'3" he'd be a top 10-15 kid.

I don't think people realize how big of a get this guy is. He is #42 overall in the composite. That is pretty special, and would make him the third highest rated player on the team right now behind Reggie Perry and Nick Weatherspoon.

This kid can get up there too. Not the tallest, but he plays above the rim.

Really good comparison. Agree that if he's a 6'2-6'3 kid then he's a top 10-15 prospect.

He looks taller than 5'11 in the videos I've seen. He played on the Atlanta Celtics AAU team with a bunch of other D1 guys and he held his own. Very explosive PG and can really jump, he will get minutes next season because we lose Carter.

I haven't come across anybody that is not realizing how big of a get this guy is.

He's probably referring to the crowd that does nothing but complain and make excuses about not supporting the current team....but you're right, anybody that knows anything about it, realizes how big a get he is.

This kid can really, really jump, seemingly with relative ease. Very explosive leaper, quick, and appears a very skilled playmaker. Arkansas had a point guard named Coutney Fortson that appeared a similar leaper to this kid. Also, former Miss. State guard DeVille Smith. A bigger former Miss. State point guard...Derrick Zimmerman. My opinion...Deivon Smith is a very impressive young point guard.

Deivon Smith (AAU Atlanta Cetics)
Miss. State Assistant Coach Korey McCray has long had ties with the Atlanta Celtics AAU program.
