Miss. State vs UT-Martin
7:00 pm, Humphrey Coliseum

Miss. State forced 28 turnovers last game (Southern Miss). More of the same from this ball-hawking unit.
Also, look for Rickea Jackson to pickup a good bit more on the offensive end this game.

Thought you meant ND was winning. It's 64-49 Tennessee ahead about midway through the 3rd.

With all the fanfare around Rickea Jackson i say Mingo Young is a star in the making. She plays like Kennedy Carter at Texas A&M. This team is loaded with talent!

Myah and Matharu look good as our new PG duo. Lots of hope for the future.

Matharu is our best looking freshman to me. Mingo-Young May be second with Rickea at 3rd right now.

Your assessment is hard to dispute.

Wiggins has surprised as well. She is solid off the bench.

Rickea will come around. She was amazing for us in Italy, just pressing too much right now. Matharu has been great, might be hard to keep her out of the starting lineup if this keeps up. Mingo-Young has been a really nice spark off the bench.

- Opponents 24 turnovers per game....through first 2 games
- Miss. State scoring 32.5 points per game off of
these turnovers.
- Also, Miss. State...already has 22 steals and 17 blocks

Women's basketball team...ball hawks. Guard position is deep (Danberry, Taylor, Matharu, Mingo-Young, Hemingway), and most of them appear to be ball hawks. Same for the wings like Rickea Jackson, Chloe Bibby, Espinoza-Hunter, and Xaria Wiggins. Centers are all 6-5 plus, and outstanding rebounders and shot blockers....force turnovers, get steals as well. They kinda remind me of Nolan Richardson's old Arkansas Razorback high pressure defensive teams. Also, Yemiyah Morris came in, and blocked 4 shots in just over 8 minutes last game. Promise Taylor is a very good shot blocker as well.

(Note)
Freshmen Guards- young ball hawks. Just need to keep practicing, keep getting game experience....future appears bright .

Class of 2020 commit Madison Hayes...another young ball hawk. Coach Schaefer type player .

This team will be dangerous if they jell and Vic figures the right rotation. Next year look out!

Certainly we have talent across the board. Need to get some chemistry on rotation. Freshmen players need to settle in. R.Jackson pressing to start but she will be OK.
