It is just hard to ever get enthused about our team with the way we play. Really thought we would get better quality basketball from Howland when we hired him.

Nick w is our only true point guard. Tyson is playing out of position. Molinar is freshman. So its gonna hurt when your primary ball handler is out. Although I dont like how we have attacked their press. The help guys are going up court way too early leaving the ball handler to get double teamed

Damn, some of you Guys are the most negative 17ers on the Planet. Shit , we won. Tyson looked Good. Perry looked good . fezell is really going to help. Woodard was trying too hard early on. We will rebound better and we will cut back the turnovers. We will be damn good when Nick comes back, until then we will get valuable playing time for Molinar. I'm pretty pleased with the win.

I was impressed with our effort/Performance tonight. FIU played a tough game and they create matchup issues. That was a good test out of the gate.

1. Molinar will be fun to watch. And once Nick get a back, we are going to have some good options at the guard positions l.

2. I really liked some of the hustle plays we made. For example, that plau Woodard made in the second half extending a possession. Those are good things to notice in November.

3. Tyson Carter is a fun player to watch. He has improved a ton in his time at MSU. He looked like a confident basketball player. Speaking of improvement, Feazell has made some strides too.

4. We had 10 blocks. Our length and athleticism will bother some folks.

I like our potential. I just hope it is consistent. It is only game 1 but I liked a handful of things.

We have never had all the students in the nosebleeds. I've been going to games at the Hump since 1981 and that has never happened. They have the entire north end, lower and upper decks. You could see them in TV behind that goal.

I know for a fact in 2001-2006 the student section was full and extended all the way to the top. we may have had 3500 there tonight. These guys already deserve everyone's attention, equal to women's and baseball.

I watched the top 4 teams in the country play last night and they all looked sloppy and undisciplined. Was first game of the year we have a ton of great athletes we will get better.

Howland brought the entire team out of the locker room after the game to thank the student section. Unfortunately, most of the students had left by that point. He was obviously pleased with their turnout. Hopefully he will continue to reach out to them as they really contribute to the game atmosphere. The band was also "into" the game and added a lot of energy.
