Sounds like John Steven Jones is going to get the start in the hawgs next game. Jerry was on our local news station (Dallas) this morning raving over it. Don?t under estimate the power of this as a political move by Chad. He stuck his neck out to even recruit this kid. Jerry may make sure Chad stays around a little longer.

Jefferson is who should be starting but in limited opportunities Jones has at least looked better than Hicks or Starkel. He can move around a little better and that pass he threw for a TD last week was nice. He is tiny though. He'll get his shot but if Jefferson isn't starting the last two games that's just more fuel to the fire for Morris. Jones isn't the long-term solution but at worst he could turn into a capable backup.

Dan’s play calling in big games is why this will likely be the best he does at Florida.

He will go 9-3/10-2 there but as long as Kirby keeps bringing in top 3 classes to Dan’s 10-15 range classes Kirby will always have a leg up in talent over Dan. So far Kirby is 3-0 over Dan. I don’t see that changing anytime soon unless he gets rid of the country club and hires some recruiters in their place. If FSU hires someone like Cristobal who can recruit that area well Dan will be in trouble imo.
