But I was told he’s a shitty coach who can’t win big games.

I’m going to be pissed if we hang on to Jughead a year too long and miss our chance to hire him.

Arkansas may hire him after this season. Seems like a good fit.

This is a good game. I started watching it at om/AU half.

Norvell is auditioning tonight. If we don't snag him someone else will. I'm betting Arkansas at this point.

This. Rumors be damned, someone is going to hire him very soon. And they’ll be getting one hell of a coach.

I have been talking about him for years. He is the real deal and that other vetting shit is made up bullshit. We will wait to late. But after the Ole Miss game, none of these assholes on here praising Moorhead today will be found around here.

6-6 be damned. If Mike Norvell really wants this job hire his ass. This is about the life of this football program.

That's been the rumor for a while. Whatever the rumors are, they must be strong and have some substance. He wouldn't stilll be at Memphis otherwise.

Norvell is making a statement tonight. He's aggressive as hell. This will be his last year at Memphis.

Tiger High putting it on SMU. It’s fun watching an offense that’s aggressive, plays with tempo and puts points on the board. Someone is going to roll the dice on Norvell after this season. Unfortunately, it likely won’t be us. We do not have real leadership willing to make hard decisions that may not be publicly popular. We would rather avoid criticism than do what is best for MSU.

Either of these two coaches would be an immediate upgrade. The misdirection and motion offense of SMU is what we need to beat teams with more talent. The games we did it last year we won against teams with more talent (Auburn and A&M). Motion creates hesitation in defense, which negates speed for a few seconds after the snap.

Nah they will keep Luke based on his coordinators improvement.

The announcers are baffled, but that was a smart move to go for 2 to cut it to 6 there.

If you're planning to go for the win anyway, it's smarter to go for 2 there because if you don't get it, you still get a chance to go for the tie later. SMU didn't put all their eggs in one basket this way.

1) That would be our luck, although I think Flounder gets one more year minimum in Oxford.

2) Would Norvell be cool with The Network? That’s always going to be a question with that job. They may have slowed down for a second, but let’s not pretend they won’t be back in full force sooner rather than later.

I think Luke will be back unless they have an AD in place.

And you are 100% right about the Network. If you coach there you have to play by their rules. Ask David Cutcliffe.
