View Full Version : Auburn vs The Bears

If I heard the announcer right, OM went for it on 4th down from their own forty-something. And didn't make it.

They stopped Auburn though and then Auburn missed a FG. Still 0-0.

Well, we'll have our full defensive team for that game, including all the TutorGate suspensions. OM does look pretty good though, or at least a lot better than they're supposed to look. Plumlee's not bad.

I have a feeling that today?s win will give people a lot of false hope. Ole miss defense is much improved from last year. Up until today our offense has been hot garbage. All this told me is the Arkansas is worse than a sunbelt/conference USA team.

- Ole Miss is a well coached team that is being maximized by playing the exact schemes that fit their personnel.

- Ole Miss caught Auburn at the perfect time. A week after their dreams were shattered in Baton Rouge.

- Bo Nix is one of the more overrated recruits in a long time & DCs are figuring out what he can & can't do

- I think Ole Miss would be crazy to fire Matt Luke. I could actually see that setting them back

He puts up a lot of empty numbers between the 20s, but when the field compresses, Bo is not good at all. I don’t think he is that good in between the 20s either.

Also, Gus Malzahn is the most overrated coach in America. He has no idea how to develop a passing game. At all.

Auburn is reeling. Gatewood left causing unrest in their locker room, they just played LSU so this was a big time let down game, OM had an extra week to prepare for what has become a very predictable run game without Boobie Whitlow, Auburn thought they could just show up this game. With that said Plumlee can’t throw worth a shit. OM is now 3-6 about to be 3-7 when LSU beats them. They keep running Plumlee like they are and Plumlee may not play in the Egg Bowl...If we play like we did today the rest of the year, we will be 6-6 and going to Memphis or Nashville over the holidays.

Something else about OM.

They look better coached at times on offense because they have the personnel to run the key ingredient to Rich Rod's offensive scheme, which is running the ball.

However, we are still stuck running the non-strength of Moorhead's scheme which is running the ball.

Moorhead wants to throw it & Rich Rod wants to run it. That is their strengths as coaches. So OM is able to come closer to maximizing their coaching staff's scheme.

We can debate if we should also be doing that, but that's the truth. My belief is that as we get better WRs & consistency of who is the QB, we'll also look better coached

Would have been great had Mingo and Jackson not believed the bullshit that OM was selling them at the time. That still burns me up we lost those guys to OM when everyone and their mother knew Rich Rod has a run first scheme. My guess is we see Corral and others transfer in the offseason. Hopefully some of their wideouts do too.
