His shadow is still over WB so, not really worried about a big drop.

No please, college athletics administration is a big business run by people trained to do it.

Nope, we need a Byrne type hire. No more coaches.

Hell no, they wont give it to him anyway since he's not an alum here or have deep connections here which is apparently how the hiring process for AD's here work

No, we need someone with administrative experience. Being an elite coach is not the same skill set.

Agreed. Need another Byrne. Vic is busy getting us a NC anyway.

The last few years, Vic has had to replace three or four starters every year and has stayed in the top ten the whole way. In 20-21, Vic will return almost everyone from the most talented roster in school history and will certainly be favored to get back to the Final Four.

agree with everyone else. no coaches. this is big business these days. We need someone that understands the business side of things and that has come up on the administration side of things.

This isn't high school or junior college.

might be worth a shot to call Scott Wetherbee up and see if he would be interested in coming back. We have seen a major hit to the business and marketing side of things since he left.

Also, we would likely go back to where we were before Vic in women's basketball if he left. Just like TN, Ole Miss, LSU, UGA. Programs almost always fall back with the rest of the pack once the elite coach leaves.

We need a real trained AD next time.

Leave Vic the <17> along he is doing great at what he does, do not water down his reason to be here.

Why would someone think that this is a good idea is beyond comprehension.

Some possible replacements for Cohen with MSU connections:

Renardo Sydney - could improve game day concessions

Quinton Wesley - could improve game day security

Fred Brown - he's studied the requirements for the position, and can pass the test

Dontae Walker - he's weighing his opportunities, but might be interested

Marcus Bullard - could "whip" the athletic department into shape

Michael Story - who better to take care of the dawgs?

Ron Polk - the AD's office would have one typewriter and 11.7 full time employees

Sylvester Croom - Winston Churchill say that there is a qualified AD on every street corner in Miami

Coach34 - he would always be right (just ask him), and could also make coffee for the office

Rick Stansbury - Moses, Shadrach, and Methuselah could hang around the office playing with Legos all day

Nickoe Whitley - the athletic turf would be green from plenty of watering

Fred Smoot - may not be a qualified AD, but he did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night

Steve Robertson - would lobby the NCAA to get us in the Rose Bowl

Peter Sirmon - could teach everyone in the department how to tackle our problems

Why? We need him coaching.

This is the correct answer. And really we probably need someone with NO MSU ties to come in and light some fire under some asses. Of course that person will only be here 2-3 years because of all of the bitching in the Bryan Building but sorry.

Why would we do something so stupid as to remove our best coach, ever, by our choice?

No.. He needs to stay at HC and win a NC first!

On a board full of a lot of dumb ideas, this one may be the dumbest.

Nope. Vic needs to give his full attention and effort to leading us to a national championship. Plus he probably knows very little, if any, about running a 100 million dollar organization. And I doubt he wants to.
