I'm about to the same point as you w/ Mullen. But I stilll have my reservations on whether he can win a big game under the spotlights.

That said, it's more of a must win for Kirby imo.

Dan chokes in these big games but I got the feeling that changes this week. They gave LSU all they wanted with a lot of injuries and in Death Valley.
27-24 FL. Their defense is finally healthy and UGA is overrated.

When at State he always had a good game plan but when he lost it was because he got out coach in the 4th. The 2017 Alabama game is a prime example.

He just got too conservative. But a lot of coaches do that when they’re in a tough game. We had AL beat in 17 but that zero coverage by Grantham and the refs killed us.

I think UGA's biggest concern is at OC and the plays being dished out. Fromm has been good up until a few games ago. I'm still torn on my choice up above because Florida does have a few more style points so far this year and has performed better ultimately.

I just think UGA has more firepower depth and grinds out a win.

And I’m pulling for Dan Mullen. He pissed me off the last couple years, but that SOB was the best we’ve had coaching here. I don’t hate the guy.
Grantham and his zero coverage blitzes worry me more than Mullen’s coaching.

Once again I'm thinking same way. Grantham and his obvious zero coverage blitzes are one reason why I give Shoop edge as DC. That and the fact that Grantham is 3-4 guy ... Saban knows how to handle a 3-4 D. Shoop 4-2-5 but mixes and disguises the different looks, coverages, etc. real well IMO.

Can't argue but think Mullen will eventually get over the hump. Even Roy Williams eventually got over the hump. Took an extremely talented team tho. Not everyone gets over the a hump like this tho.

They also sucked it up the following week vs. UK. Game was 0-0 at half. Then they finally got the run game going. Fromm didn't contribute much that game either. 21-0 Final

spread favors Georgia by 6-1/2 points .... Even with a back up QB I think Florida takes this one. Although I'm slowly warming back up to Mullen I'll still pull for Ga. on this one ...... so who's the smart bet ?

Mullen is 0-10 against Kirby (HC/DC) and if Franks was still in there running his typical O, I'd say he'd be 0-11. But this isn't Mullen's typical offense so I think UF wins. I'll be pulling for UGA.

bingo. but if Mullen is ever going to win one of these games, it is this one. GA doesn't look that much better than I have seen UF play this year.

Handily? UGA outgained SCar by 170 yards and was -4 in turnovers, some of them deep in SC territory. I'd say it was a fluke

I think UGA is the deepest and most talented team in the country, I think they win this game by 2 TD's and win the SEC title as well.

Their only weakness is that they were left with not much talent at WR, so they're struggling to throw the ball. That and James Coley is a lackluster, unimaginative OC that will keep them from being Bama/LSU on offense. But they're good enough on D and running the ball to beat UF, LSU, and Bama IMO.

I put 50 on UGA to win the NC after the SC loss. They went from 6/1 to 16/1 and nothing really changed for them. They still have to beat FL and Bama/LSU to make the playoff. The loss is going to motivate them.
