Unless something changed, it is definitely 1.4 million which is basically nothing. It's pretty rare to have a buyout so small.

I am not the expert, but I believe the buyout quoted is how much Mullen owes us if he leaves us, not how much we owe him if we fire him. It was Clay Travis who said $6 Million (tweet on Thursday night). I would be surprised if his buyout is only $1.4. Also, those #'s are from 2010/2011, who knows how his contract has changed since.

This is what made me post this in the first place- because I thought that was the case myself. I cant see Mullen agreeing to a buyout that low if he is fired. I thought a big deal was made at the time of that being the buyout we would be paid if he left- showing his strong commitment to us

Clay Travis referenced a PDF of *cough**cough**cough**cough**cough**cough**cough* contract and basically did math because the document shows he is under contract until 2016 (I thought he got an extension after last year?). The document didnt specify a buyout in any regard. I assume there is a seperate addendum that has the buyout clauses. I am guessing its more then 1.4 but less the 6.
