To me the coaching matters most in the 1st & 3rd quarters. I believe this because the 1st & 3rd quarters allow for a plan & adjustments to be made.

Coaches spend countless hours a week preparing a game plan, watching film, & figuring out a way to defeat the other team & one would assume that this plan & preparation would be revealed in the 1st quarter of games.

So, thus far this season AGAINST POWER 5 COMPETITION:

- MSU is being out scored in the 1st quarter 51-13

- MSU is being outscored in the 3rd quarter 45-13

Folks, that's the story. Among failing to properly teach the fundamentals of football, they simply have failed massively to put together competent game plans or make competent adjustments while the game is still in doubt. Sure, we've some success in the 2nd and 4th quarters, but that's when we know what the other team is doing & can just call plays accordingly or it's garbage time & the other team doesn't care.

He's got to go. He sucks at his job. These numbers clearly show that he is incapable of designing a game plan that is competent.

Here are the results of our first possession of the 1st & 3rd quarters against power 5 competition:

1st: TD, Punt, Punt, downs, punt

3rd: Fumble, Punt, Punt, Punt, TD

He simply can't get his team ready to play

Here is one. We haven't lost 4 in a row since 2005. That is how bad we are.

For sure, we could dig up a number of terrible stats. I just wanted to point out that we simply don't show up ready to play

We've scored 6 points in the last 4 1st quarters combined.

That's the worst stat to me. Digging a hole early in the game because we have averaged scoring less than a safety over the last 4 1st quarters.

His offense gets better though once the opponent gets up big**
