I know we suck at tackling more than most but it has become nearly impossible to do without a penalty. I watched several of the plays where Aggie players broke numerous tackles to score in slowmo. My first reaction was "why didn't he....". But the more I looked at them, I sort understand why they didn't. Most of the examples, if they had gotten lower, went straight at the runner, etc that was coached in my generation, they would have been flagged for targeting.

At some point, football either has to decide to take the skirts off and play or just head full steam towards virtual football.

Also if a runner lowers his head at the point of contact, he should be flagged and ejected. If this crap is truly about protection, it should go both ways.
