Isn't he one of the suspended players? If so that's a pretty weak move. Ruin your year by cheating then pout by transferring out.

He red shirted last year and he lost this year so he will have to sit one year and have two to play if I am right. If I was him I would go to JUCO or Swac for one season.

He did come in part because of KT. He can go somewhere and redshirt for a year and then have 2 left to play.

I believe he played on special teams the entire year.

I remember thinking his was going to be a really good receiver for us and it just never panned out for a host of reasons.

Just another step in the rebuilding process for Jo.

Whop’s feet are too heavy. Not sure he ever would’ve contributed and I said that when signed him.

It was a poor evaluation

He's got a bad situation at home. He wasn't a difference maker anyway. Feel bad for him.

Got to break it down so it can be built up!

I have a suspicion that in a few years we're going to see some of our transfers at other schools and wonder WTF happened.

I don't know how we ever got him to sign with us in the first place. I remember his signing ceremony, where he didn't seem very sure. Goes to show- all the hype about Whop and Dolla Bill-doesn't appear either one is going to pan out.

Not many guys play as redshirt freshmen on the Oline.

Why Dolla bill? Only a redshirt freshman. Plus he lost his mom so it was a hard year. Dont give up on him at this point

Plus those massive high school OLinemen almost always need more than a year in a quality strength and conditioning program to be ready. If they didn't, they'd be 5 stars.

So all we need to do is get a quality strength and conditioning program in place this off season, and Dolla Bill will probably be ready sometime during his RS Jr year.*

I highly doubt that. One of the things that I believe we have always valued in our players is fit.

There may be less than a handful of players over the last 10-11 years that left us and were really good or committed to us, decommitted, and planned out. And by panned out I mean could have been someone that made a difference. We have been lucky and also smart when it comes to players we are willing to commit to that ultimately leave us.

He also partially came here because at the end of the cycle he was down to offers from Kansas and us. We can't catch a break at the WR position.

I like Whop. He wasn't the fastest but he didn't drop the ball and was big enough to go across the middle of the field. Being TE's are not being used he could have been the chain mover.

Whop and Dolla Bill can't be compared. Yes both are part of Tutorgate. But Whop is a sophomore, and Dolla Bill is only a freshman (they came in the same year but Dolla Bill redshirted last year). And Dolla Bill plays a position where you normally don't contribute as early. So Dolla Bill will have 3 more years to contribute after this one, whereas Whop would only have 2 if he stayed.

Having said that, I think Dolla Bill will move positions if he contributes. Because I think Cross will be our left tackle. Dolla Bill will have to move to right tackle or to guard. I don't think he beats out Cross.

Let's just hope Dolla Bill develops and helps us. It is certainly too early to give up on him.

And Crumedy and Lovett have certainly improved as the season goes along as redshirt freshmen defensive linemen.

Exactly how many catches did Whop have total while at MSU??
I don?t remember many and I?m to lazy to look up stats.

Just another 4 star WR that didn't pan out. How many high level WRs have actually been productive? I can only think of Fred Ross and Chad Bumphis but we also haven't gotten too many.

No doubt he has the best ratio of quality brought to number of posts on the board right now. There have been some other outstanding first posts (not sure if any as good as that one), but then they inevitably bring their ratio back down to earth with subsequent posts. He might should just retire the user name so he doesn't tarnish it with subsequent posts.
