We did lose 3 in a row in 2013 and was 4-6 ten games in. Which this year reminds me of. The key to a 6-6 finish will be just go with Shrader the rest of the way. We do that and we at least go 6-6.

Any clown who talks about rebuilding a top 20 team in year one, what do you expect? You don?t rebuild a team who could sleep walk to 10 wins. That should have been the time for the eject button for anyone with a brain.

Those were the 4th, 18th, and 7th ranked teams in the country in 3 straight games.

Well at 9 and playing 2 is comparable to that three game stretch. The UT loss is inexcusable and was 100% on Moorhead starting Tommy Stevens.

What people really aren't taking into the consideration is how the SEC as a whole is slipping some. 2010 thru 2016 most teams were physical and beat your teeth in. The last 3 years even Bama isn't as physical as they had been during those years. You can't turnover all those coordinators Saban does along with the NFL early departures and keep the physicality and execution.

The bottom of the SEC in 2014 was way tougher than this year. And that was also at the height of the Ole Miss pay much to play era.

ETA: That's what kinda kills me about last year. We could've been as physical and tough on O as anyone we played were on D. It was there for the taking.

Lots of young talent on defense... Hardheaded coach believing in playing the often-injured poor pocket presence senior instead of rolling with the more inspiring underclassman at QB... and that’s where the comparisons end.

(All rankings are season ending AP poll)
3-21 Loss to #17 Oklahoma State.
20-24 Loss @ #2 Auburn (gave up TD with 11 seconds to go)
26-59 Loss to #14 LSU (the rotating of QBs and playing them the same exact way...... )
16-34 Loss @ #4 SCar
41-51 Loss @ #18 A&M
7-20 Loss to #7 Alabama (without Dak)

The losses and resume there showed the promise we had going into next season partnered with an easier schedule set up in 2014 it made it clear we would have a great opportunity to do something in the West.

This year is an easier schedule draw and our losses have been majorly concerning. We also don’t have the effort and the heart that team had. This version of MSU football has not shown me the ability to rally like that 2013 Egg Bowl.

Maybe but we have to see at the end of the year. Auburn could drop a good bit with who they have left to play. If we drop to A & M for 4 straight it becomes irrelevant.

This year is nothing like 2013. 2013 showed promise and inspiration. Losses to good teams. This year has losses to Tenn and K-State. K-State is 4-2 with at least 3 more losses on the schedule and could be as many as 5

#ChampionshipStandard, baby. Going to be great watching us get rolled over in College Station next weekend. If we can count on one thing in the Jughead Error, it's that we are don't bother showing up to road games.
