A good marching band is a direct result of a strong music dept. If we had a strong music dept, we'd have a really strong marching band.

I'm gonna guess OSU has a top notch music dept.

Jacksonville State is the best band that has ever performed in a football game at DWS. That area of Alabama is home to some DCI band and I think JSU has a good music dept. Those two things = kick ass marching band.

My sister went to Jacksonville State. Band school. Band-only dorm. Live, breathe and sleep band. During the summer, the Jacksonville State band is 90 percent of the "Spirit of Atlanta" drum corp. Most everyone in the band is a music major - its very difficult to make the band as a non-music major.

They are one of the five best college bands in the country. Ohio State is also up there, as you have seen here.
