I was just thinking about how most successful head coaches in the SEC are either assholes or can be.

1) Embrace the fact that we are a blue collar grinder type of team. That is just in our DNA. Joe tried to change us to a finesse type of team and it just didn't work.
2) Expect to play very physical football. We have done the best when we are closer to 60/40 or 55/45 running type of team. We also do the best in a defense where we just get after it. I don't care if it is a 3-4 or 5-2, we want to see RB stuffed at the line and QBs get hammered almost every play.
3) Have a disciplined team. It goes without saying that you have no chance against high level competition if you are not disciplined.
4) You have to recruit to compete in the SEC.

I want someone who has great attention to detail, holds players to a high standard and keeps them accountable, and is willing to adapt when necessary.

That's pretty much it.
