We'll probably never know. But I'd definitely hire him if we were guaranteed a natty and would become a powerhouse football program. It's an interesting thought experiment.

How do you even know that AR could hire him if they wanted too? Saban was considering hiring Freeze as either a Consultant, Assistant Coach or even possibly an OC. The SEC Office told Bama that it would not be in the best interest of the Alabama Football Program, if they were to hire Freeze. So those types discussions ceased. If Freeze ever comes back to coaching in the SEC (that is doubtful), I don't see it anytime in the near future. He embarrassed the SEC Office, and it made a joke out of the SEC nationwide. Just a far fetched scenario, but say we did offer Freeze and he accepted it. We are already on NCAA probation. Then we would be scrutinized more by the NCAA and not be in good graces with the SEC Office.

Auburn was set to tell the SEC 17 you if Malzahn tanked either last year or the year before. I wish it would have happened just for the laughs but he would have kicked OM’s a** every year and that would not be very funny for me anyway
