The ones of the Oregon variety. 7 MAJOR violations apparently reported and agreed to -- although Oregon disputed the penalty offered, so it's now headed to the COI. Looks like they are going to get pretty hard on this one. USC tried to fight their punishment this exact same way and it burned them(delayed the scholarship reduction until the postseason ban was over -- essentially putting them on probation for 5 years instead of 3)...

No finding of loss of institutional control. I think they get a moderate slap on the wrist. Probably a couple ships, double secret probation, and no bowl ban.

7 major violations is pretty serious- we didnt have that have that many during our last probation

With the NCAA attack on Oregon and Miami hitting the home stretch, I hope the NCAA crosshairs will turn toward Oxford. Georgia's president just went on the enforcement committee and Urban Meyer has publicly stated he is upset with the Treadway recruiting and "will get to the bottom of it". If forces are brought to bear on the NCAA outside of Slive's control, there could be in trouble in Oxford.

One can dream anyway.

Chip Kelly did the classic Pete Carroll move. Run to the NFL, when the flames start becoming visible.

With the new NCAA rules, wouldn't Kelly be "responsible" for all of this?

Would this follow him if he returned to college?
