I never understood this thought process from some of our fans. He was a Penny Hardaway hire at Memphis last year from having a Top 50-55 kid in every class he'd been at MSU.

For what it's worth, Devin Butts and Deivon Smith is an incredible start to the 2020 class. Really excited about this year too, our starters are going to hang with anyone it's just a matter of what our depth turns out do be. Hail State.

A huge get for Howland and Co. Smith is an electric player for his size. His bounce is absolutely next level. Say what you will about Howland's coaching, but his recruiting has had no drop off. And it's probably been said before but it's amazing the doors that Korey Mccray has been able to open for us in the recruiting world.

Korey has been great for us but Brooks is still the heavy lifter on the staff as far as recruiting goes. It's a really good staff.

Agree. The one hire I wish CBH would make is an exHC (P5) ... I think it would really help him.. the more X and O guys on the staff the better..

Yea but I think he has Ernie Ziegler for that spot. He's been a HC before & he's someone Howland trusts going back to his days at Pitt. Not saying he couldn't be upgraded but Howland seems to be a pretty loyal guy.
