I agree. SEC needs to get out of the CBS deal and just go exclusively to ESPN.

I am down with this. Have an 11am, 230pm, and 6pm on ESPN, (maybe) ESPN2, & SECCN.

That?s 6-9 games/week. Is that doable with ESPNs relationships with other conferences?

No reason the bidding for coming weekends schedule couldn?t be settled by Sunday night.

CBS deal brings too much money to pass up. Just wish they’d cut down on commercials like NFL has.

Need common sense from them though. September CBS games played at 7. Then there are slots on ESPN for 11, 2:30 , 6, 9.

In september schedule SEC games on ESPN/2/U/News or SECN at both 6 and 9. If you can get that deal that’s up to 10 games broadcast with ESPN plus the CBS slot and SECN at 11 and 2 for the 12 & 13 slot with an extra espn game thrown in somewhere early. Works out perfectly and has up to 14 slots for SEC teams.

I get that starting super late like that may not be the most ideal, but it’s better than 100 heat index games. And it’s only for September when there is up to 14 diff games instead of only 7 or less.

Seems like a simple solution would be to limit each SEC campus to a single 11AM CT/12 ET game each season. This season is 14 weeks long with 2 BYE weeks so the model works in a 14 team league. In a 13 week season w/ a single BYE week one school would avoid this. Each school and their fan base would only have to deal with 1 home game in the penalty box each season and the SEC Network would still have a game each week in this early window.
