View Full Version : One little bright spot last week - 37 second drill before half.

Maybe I imagined it, but I seem to recall complaints in the past about taking a knee before half when there was a chance to take a shot.

Joe took a shot. Haven't seen this play mentioned here or the other board all week.

Tommy was sailing passes and playing hurt, but he hit this one perfect.

ETA - 37 seconds, 4 plays, 66 yds, 7 points

He did the right thing, but he took that shot because he knew we might get dusted in the second half if he didn't get it.

Joe was aggressive and i like it. In the past we would've took a knee and just went to the locker room.

Jesus man..... we’re all upset, but let us have at least one bright spot.

Yea, he wouldn?t have risked it he thought we were going to win.

Look, go help your wife today go antiquing. Probably a flea market or 7 going in. This sports thing is WAY over your head.

To play devil?s advocate (and I?m one who would be considered a Joe supporter and by some a sunshine pumper), I think we were going to take a knee initially. First play of that drive was a running play for four yards where Stevens slid down in bounds, then a late hit on them gave us 15 extra yards, put us on their side of the field, and stopped the clock. At that point it would?ve been dumb to not take a chance.

I’m glad it worked, and it was a fantastic throw and catch, but I do think the personal foul really opened the door for us to even try that. That said, kudos to us for taking advantage of it.

I'm no sunshine pumper, but the "yeah, but...." mentality is really f$$king old.

We were playing fast and looked good offensively. Smn to think about.

Offense is like sex: better with tempo and rhythm.
