We are MSU and nowhere near as bad of dire straits as FSU or UT who both put more money, have more fans, and have more history than us. We're undefeated in SEC play right now. By one measure our loss is to a ranked team. Giving up on a coach in year 2 when he was given a cupboard this bare (and he still has done a decent job filling its gaps) because his QB was hurt is a bad look IMO.

Thinking the direction is bad enough already to quit on a coach in year 2 when "his" first QB made the play of the week putting his body on the line out there. Yea, miss me with that.

If by the middle to end of year 3 there aren't results (and definitely in year 4) then skipping games based on this notion is acceptable. Our program isn't flailing. Stop being chicken little. This isn't Tennessee. We didn't lose to a bottom five team in FBS at home.

The amount of negativity right now tells me many of our fans feel more natural, and in order when everything sucks about MSU football. I had season tickets from 92 to 2003 and the only games I missed was when I had to work. I stopped because my son was born and my wife worked Saturdays. I believe 2003 is when they started charging bull dawg club pledges for seats. I kept on donating to the bull dawg club. In 2013 I started buying tickets again because my son wanted to start going to games. Have not missed a home game. I go to one road game every season and go to the bowl game. Winning is fun and it is a lot more fun then losing but I am going to the game regardless. I enjoy being in Davis Wade and Campus on game day. I enjoy being with my son win or lose. I am going regardless. Hot, cold, shitty team it doesn't matter I am going to support my school and not use all this bull shit whining candy ass excuses I keep hearing on this board.

It may be as you say in Mississippi. I've been in Alabama so long that I tend to think that everybody does things like they do here. I know that in the winter, the state does not allow the city to clear snow and ice from the state and interstate highways (and that includes most major city thoroughfares) ... it's all done by ALDOT (and they're not necessarily on the ball very often).

If the state passes along maintenance money to counties, perhaps there is a bit of fraud going on if things are different from county to county?
