Hill does not get a touch and we settle for a fg. His play calling is boneheaded at times

Wouldn't have been boneheaded if they had worked. Hindsight is always 20/20.

He was thinking continue to build confidence in a true freshman as that's huge for them on a stage where they are thrust into the limelight.

I would have personally ran but that decision making I'll forgive. It's the follow-up drives where he refused to lean on the run game that was the problem in my book. (The 3rd & 2 pass the immediate following drive after two bruising runs was especially egregious. He doesn't accept that the winning identity for this team is smashmouth football in the 4th.) And the play design wasn't bad. Just off-sync between QB and WR with behind him pass that gets dropped. He should have expected that. If he wanted to retry building confidence at that point then he should have done it on first down the next series of downs after letting Kylin get the first down and halting momentum KSU had.

Holloway up the middle for no gain

Slow developing counter run with Ladarius Perkins for a loss of 2.

Mullen play calling sometimes:

1st and 10- Holloway up the middle.
2nd and 9- Holloway up the middle.
3rd and 8- Holloway up the middle.
Punt.

Coaches see things and think something might work but it doesn't. It could a bad play call or it could be the guys on the field don't execute.

Part of the game.

It's always a bad play call after the play doesn't work.

Have y'all forgotten Mullen's fake punts? I don't think we ever had one work.

Moorheqd?s Default is to pass. When stressed he likes to throw.

Is Gibson hurt? He never got on the field Saturday. That cost us a couple drives, honestly

Yes hes hurt too. So Moorhead was left with the decision to keep running his best RB, who is injury prone, or throw it with a true FR QB who is nowhere near ready to do it behind a OL missing its best player against a well coached team that always wins by letting you make mistakes.

Saban would have hell with that situation

Odds are pretty high that if you throw three times in a row you are going to complete one and there is a good chance that one will at least net a first down.

It may have cost us a scoring drive.
