So if I understood Doering correctly this am if Kylin gets at least 115 yards vs Southern he will break Leonard Fornette's two game yard record.

And I think that will also make him the rushing leader in the SEC.

And I can still bet you no one outside the State of Mississippi will be talking about him. All people want to talk about is Etienne, Swift, and Dobbins. Kylin is a top 5 RB in the country when he's healthy.

Kylin needs to break more runs for highlight purposes if he wants to get recognized.

Nothing wrong with the 8 yards per carry, but it's just not going to garner much attention

I hope he runs for 250 Saturday on like 18 carries. Let's get it done.

He has more acceleration than top end speed in my opinion. He hits the hole and bursts through it as good as anyone State has ever had. When he hits green grass though he doesn't pull away like a Ballard or Norwood. Still he is a top 5 RB in the country if he stays healthy he may hit 1500 yards. Tommy keeps the defense honest at minimum.

Hill last week had 197. Add 115, that's 312

Here's LF's best 2 games stretches:
2016 Auburn and state: 387
2016 auburn and Syracuse: 472
2016 Syracuse and emu: 477

Yeah, he's wrong or you heard wrong

Really makes you wonder why he has struggled so much in the league. I assume having a decent QB is paramount to RB success. Bortles had the respect of noone.

And USM hasn't allowed 100 yard rusher in like 15 straight games. That might end tomorrow.

That's interesting. Maybe it was the first two games of the season? I know what I heard and he's on the edge of beating LF in something yard wise.

USM has a streak of 12 games at under 30 points and 15 game streak of no 100 yard rushers. Both streaks end tomorrow and we roll.

No surprise that the starting RBs and expected NFL draft picks from the best programs in the country get the hype. Every year there's "too 5" RBs that basically go completely ignored by the national CFB media. Notice how you didn't even list Jonathan Taylor and he had over 2000 yards rushing last season and scored 4 TDs last weekend.

I don't think that's right. In Fournette's So year, he had 159 rushing yards against us followed by 228 against Auburn. That's 387. Hill Rushed for 197. So he would need 191....

Ouch Auburn and Syracuse on there twice with the vaunted Sirmon D. Hill would have 400 against that Sirmon D.

They also haven't been beaten by 2 td's against the sec in the last 4 years. 1-1 vs uk, 0-1 and against ut and auburn.

The good news is what's ahead for Hill.

-USM.. I'm saying a 175 day with ease...
- KST.. had 211 last year.
- Then UK... Who is ranked 98th in rush defense because they allowed TOLEDO 181 on the ground.

Remember back in the late '90s-early 2000s when we held Rudi Johnson of Auburn to about 20 yards? Don't know how good Southern's defense is, but you never know. It wasn't just keying on him either; Auburn didn't have a first down in the entire first half.

Nice betting stat with the line at 16.5. Be interesting if they can do it again

I love Kylin, but it seems like he always stumbles when he gets going out of the blocks. It’s like he starts so fast that he trips himself and it costs himself some huge gains. Hopefully he can break a big one this week, but I think Tommy is going to be the one to show out this week. USM is going to make us beat them throwing the ball and I think we are going to torch them.

Really makes you wonder why he has struggled so much in the league. I assume having a decent QB is paramount to RB success. Bortles had the respect of noone.

I think some college RBs on stacked rosters get so used to 5* OLs blowing less talented defenders off the ball most weeks that they never learn patience, vision, how/when to cut back, etc., because anyone could pick up 5 ypc with the holes they are given. so when they get to the NFL and there's not the same talent disparity between teams, these RBs need to use their own talent to help gain yards and they simply haven't developed those skills cause they weren't needed for 3-4 years in college. Look at Trent Richardson.

Bortles didn't help fournette, but saquon Barkley didn't have any trouble putting up numbers and making plays with a washed up Eli playing QB, so it's not just the QB either.

That Bulldog D from 97-2000 is the best 4 year stretch of D ever at MSU. That 2000 D that year had 4 NFL linemen on it. USM not quit at that level, Aub OL wasn?t at our level this year. Agree though you never know. Remember UK coming in few years ago with worst rushing D in country and the shut us down?

Smoot?s comments about Rudi being a ?4th quarter back? after that game were priceless.

My work out partner in the late 2000s wrote for Body Building Mag and was a beast in knowledge. That's all he use to talk to me about. Our defense from the 90s!

He actually knew the names of our guys from that era.
