9. Mississippi State Bulldogs
Previous: 8
A busy summer for coach Vic Schaefer -- who led Mississippi State to a silver medal at the World University Games and served as an assistant for Team USA at the Pan Am Games -- concluded with some even better news when guard Jordan Danberry was granted another year of eligibility. Danberry, the Bulldogs' third-leading scorer last season, can now anchor a backcourt that includes solid shooters Bre'Amber Scott and Andra Espinoza-Hunter and the hopeful healthy return of Chloe Bibby, an even bigger long-range threat. Promise Taylor, a 6-foot-5 Ole Miss transfer, and 6-foot-5 sophomore Jessika Carter will try to replace the production of Teaira McCowan in the middle.

Just another summary, slightly different: "For the second straight year, coach Vic Schaefer has to replace four starters yet still should have enough talent to compete for a top-10 spot. Bre'Amber Scott (7.1 PPG) and Andra Espinoza-Hunter (9.0 PPG) should be ready to take on much bigger roles, and if Chloe Bibby (11.9 PPG) can return from a knee injury, the Bulldogs will have three legitimate 3-point threats. Promise Taylor, a 6-5 transfer from Ole Miss, will step in for Teaira McCowan in the middle, but should also get help from 6-5 Jessika Carter, who spent her first season in Starkville behind McCowan. Point guard Myah Taylor, who sat out as a redshirt this season but was a five-star recruit a year ago, could be the key."

- Jordan Danberry has been added to the official roster, no mention of her in this article
- Also, no mention of Rickea Jackson
- Team returns 3 regular starters from last season (Danberry, Bibby, and Espinoza-Hunter)

Team's 2 best players (Danberry and Jackson), no mention at all of either in this write up/Miss State preview. Didn't mention Jackson in the first article posted in this thread either. That one did mention Danberry though. Heads up to the national media...Rickea Jackson era in Miss. State's Women's Basketball is here, stay tuned:)

Too low.

When I saw it I did think "I didn't know we were supposed to be down this year."

Also no mention of the 6'6 juco girl who could end up starting ahead of both Taylor and Carter.

These polls are just a projection. It gets really dicey when you get outside the top 10.

Yep, that's her. She looked very good during the Italy trip. Very athletic for a girl her size.

Jackson will be a super star. And Morris is more atheletic than Big T. Getttting Danbury back means we might not lose a game..
