I guess he wasn't joking about his guys' ability to line up.

Pruitt said this week that his defensive linemen are still honing basic skills such as lining up the proper way and compared it to ''basically playing with your eyes shut.'' The focus on the fundamentals caused Pruitt to say most of his defensive linemen are ''still in elementary school'' as far as learning what to do on the field.

''Hopefully this next week we can get to junior high and the next week we can get like we're in high school and eventually be on the college level before the season's over with ... just in knowing those things,'' Pruitt said.

I was extremely disappointed when the rumored hire for us was Pruitt. I had this feeling he was going to be a terrible hire. Sure he could turn things around at UT but I highly doubt it when in year two you cannot get the DL lined up correct. To top it off he was a DC. Dude is not HC material

I thought it was weird when they went out and hired a $1 million DC in the off-season, who was never a DC before.

Is that the wishbone D or the new T formation?

Surely that was some Joe Lee Dunn type stuff where he was trying to bait the offense into attacking a particular point? Not saying it wasn't a stupid alignment, but surely it was intentional and the players didn't mistakenly line up that way?

I think they're going to call it the Spread Defense.

Here's another good one. This one's called the Flying V. Note the vintage cross body block. Can you get flagged for blocking your own man below the waist?

Saw somewhere that the sideline was yelling for one of those guys to move inside, and he waved them off.

I think hiring the Great Pumpkin as AD was a worse mistake.

A lot of posters on here think State should follow suit with our DT situation

This reminds me of the Florida O linemen blocking each other a few years ago.
