Nice game tonight.

Wouldn't be shocked to see it closer than you think

Woof. Maybe it won't be a good game. Louisville' defense looks like swiss cheese

This is a mismatch, so I'm not judging satterfield on this one. I do like him. I think Louisville hired well

Satterfield is good coach, but he took over a trainwreck

I repeat. Satterfield's offense looks great & Satterfield himself looks like Gus Malzahn's brother

It's a little early to know a ton, but his offense would've been a much easier transition for us. Fitz would've done damage in this scheme

Nice drive by Louisville. Be interesting if they can keep moving the ball. ND probably didn't have a good idea of what to prepare for.

If satterfield can recruit, he will do very well at Louisville

I'm getting frustrated at our hire right now.

Fitz in this offense would've been unreal. KT as well

Louisville May well collapse at some point, but this offense would have definitely been an easier transition for us.

Apparently a much easier offense to learn as well along with fitting our personnel

Did Cohen even interview this guy? I know half of this board was talking about him

Notre Dame better be careful. They lose this game they may not climb more than two or three spots in the poll.

Louisville's new endzone addition looks interesting - looks a little like the Seahawks'. Their stadium capacity is almost the same as ours.

ShotgunDawg
09-02-2019, 07:49 PM
Gotta feel like Louisville will need a few turnovers to pull this off.

I think ND will find a few solutions on defense, but I doubt UL will

They really benefit from being in a metro area. Imagine MSU being in a city the size of Louisville

Defenses so far are Big-12ish. Or the offenses are really, really good.

Don't have a clue. I wish he would've . They are going to get beat bad in this game, but they look better coached on offense game one than we do in game 14 under Joe.

Satterfield started a little slow, 4-8 and 7-5. He then won: 11, 10, 9, 10. Won his conference last 3 seasons.

Ranks in conference in scoring offense/scoring defense last 4 years:

2015: 2nd/1st
2016: 3rd/1st
2017: 3rd/3rd
2018: 1st/1st

Seems like a very well rounded coach

I wanted Satterfield originally but liked the Joe hire as well. This Louisville team looks night and day from last season. Plus look at the crowd they have bought in.

The crowd is really good, especially for a Sunday night. The stadium holds 61,000 and appears full.

I believe Davis Wade would be packed too if we played Notre Dame though, regardless of the day or time.

Gee I wonder. Its almost like its a flawed system. Maybe they are lazy and arent actually experts and just tell you what you want to hear so you give them money so you can in turn beat your chest at the water cooler talking about how much of an insider you are knowing where Jawon Pass is going to go to school and how he is going to change the game with his 8 out of 10 rated dual threat ability

Yup. I?m not feeling great about Moorhead. We just don?t look well coached. Discipline issues and not doing the little things and looking out of shape. But can?t fault the hire. Still think he will be ok. He coaches his system well enough that we will continue to beat OOC and beat the dysfunctional sec teams.

Agree, we don't ever look sharp. Even when we win big it's a grind & feels as though there is a loose wheel.

Yes, Louisville had massive ball handling issues last night, but when they executed, it looked easy & sharp.

It's hard to accurately describe why we looked poorly coached under Moorhead, but I know when I see it. We appear to play slow under him & whatever the opposite of a "well oiled machine" is.

My biggest issue is the check in with me, especially when we still never snap it regardless if the defense jumps offsides or not. Literally makes no sense.
