Is it too early for him to switch to just baseball or does he future lie in football? He did pretty well for someone that didn't go through all of the fall baseball practice.

He’s going to play a good bit. No need to give up football.

You mean behind two upperclassmen? He's nursing a high ankle sprain last I heard, but he can play TE in the SEC if he stays healthy.

Spivey is the next big thing at TE.

Do you expect him to pass Green or Jones for snaps this year?

Pass maybe not but share definitely.

If this is true then doesn't that put Cumbest on the bench? Unless Joe changes his philosophy of having 1 TE getting the bulk of playing time then Cumbest won't see the field very often.

I believe Spivey is gonna be a beast. I look for him to be in the nfl when he's done here.

If Cumbest gets healthy and stays healthy, he will see the field.

The question is how often? If Spivey is a future NFL TE and Moorhead only typically plays one at a time then that doesn't leave much time for Cumbest since they are in the same draft class.

Well he'll just be the #2 guy of that's the case. It's a good situation.

Cumbest was having a good camp before he got hurt. He going to be better than two of the guys on the chart ahead of him and will be fine. Jo cant go with no rotation in the SEC. He’s been working on two TE sets as well.

From what I have seen, Cumbest looks like he could have a shot in the NFL also. We should have 2 TEs just because they are more talented than our WRs.

So you think he should quit football? I'm confused

Spivey and Cumbest could be a dang good combo and a matchup nightmare in the red zone. I love 2 te sets when you have this kinda talent.

Cumbest should focus on baseball while also playing football for the scholarship money.

I think he has first round potential if he focuses on baseball. In football he certainly could be a draft pick himself- but I kind of doubt he is a first round NFL talent.

High ankle sprains might as well be a fracture. He wont be 100 percent anytime soon if hes got that

I was just asking a question. He was pretty good as a freshman without a lot of practice in baseball.

He's a tough one according to coach Hughes.

Baseball needs all the help it can get with its 11.7!
