Aric was waved to make room for Dwight Howard. I think that is a mistake. But NBA is the NBA.

Nah, if Howard has anything left, he's twice (probably more) the player Holman is

He maybe tries to go all out this last year with Lebron and AD. Did they just move Holman to the G League?

If after watching Aric play for 4 years you think he’s a NBA player.... You don’t watch enough NBA. Aric has some talent and can have a long, prosperous career overseas and there is nothing wrong with that.

Aric had signed an Exhibit 10 contract which means he was destined for the G League which is what he's likely going to be anyway. All this did was open up that roster spot to sign Howard. Aric is still expected to play for the Lakers G league team.

Even being well past his prime, Howard still averages a double double. Holman has some skills but he's not an NBA player. The guy was our sixth leading scorer last year, he's going to have a tough time making an NBA roster, much less one that's expecting to compete for championships in the very near future. He can still make a good living playing in the G League or overseas and that's perfectly fine.

I agree on all comments. Just hated seeing a bulldog not make it for Dwight Howard.

You really have to be a freak or have a very elite specialist to make in the NBA. Holman can be a stretch 4 in the NBA, but he'd have trouble defending against other 4's and would be that much better of an outside threat than 4's with more traditional builds. I'm not sure he's athletic enough to be a three. There's a role for wings that focus on 3's and defense, and I think with his length and shooting, that's his best shot? But I'm not sure if he can get to the level he'd need to be at either of those things. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong and if not, like you said, he should be good enough for over seas.
