We've got a literal Big 12 team in the conference this year.

This is a real SEC team's schedule. If MSU had this schedule, we'd be thinking about the playoff.

Unreal

They'll be 8-0 going to the Georgia game. The next game against Florida will determine who's 2nd in the east

Drew Ole Miss and Arky our of the west, get Florida and Tenner at home. Is WVU still pretty good?

But yeah, that explains why a lot of people are predicting them to go 9-3/10-2 despite being just an above average team.

Probably still going 7-5

No, unfortunately they will be 9-3 or 10-2 with that weak ass schedule.

They aren't an above average team. They are slap average. They have the 42nd best roster in college football according to 247 & Barry Odom is their coach. There is absolutely nothing above average about that

Maybe. Lock and hall are huge losses though. Bryant is gonna have to show me something. His passer rating in 2017 was 131.73 (60th nationally, 6th in ACC) and yds/pass was 7.0 (70th nationally, 8th in ACC). Dude was as average as can be with elite talent around him

They should be a good team, they return pretty much everybody except Drew Lock and they replaced him with Kelly Bryant who should do OK there. They also bring back a 1,200 yard rusher, the best TE in the league, several good WR's, and some good pieces on defense. Yes the schedule is very favorable, but they should still be pretty good anyway. Odom has done a nice job there the last few years after I thought he was not a great hire initially. Frankly they should've been 10-2 last year with their only two losses being to Georgia and Bama, they went 8-4 with two fluky losses to SC and Kentucky.

I don't see them beating Florida or Georgia and I think Tennessee is a toss up for them. All of the other teams are putrid and Mizz shoudl be able to sleep walk through much of that schedule. Maybe WVU will give them a good game? So 8 win floor and 10 win ceiling. Maybe 11 if Mullen goes and Mullen's a game.

Don't they have a bowl ban this year?

Odom is a good coach and they have a cake schedule but lets see how they perform with nothing on the line. Bowl Ban is still in effect and appears it will linger into the season as they appeal. They could be a sneaky play to win the East if things fall their way. time will tell. 8-4 seems to be the floor for them honestly.
