Should be a really interesting game on Saturday.

Was just looking at the weather in Memphis on Saturday & the high is only 91.

Seems like the weather for that game will be reasonable for this time of year.

Should help the team with less depth

This is Memphis's Super Bowl.

The solar dish nature of that stadium combined with the artificial turf make it an absolute hellhole whenever the sun is out before October, regardless of the reported temperature. Not sure who it'll favor, but either way it's going to be a desert.

Memphis - 41
Confederates - 17

This game won't be close. Imagine having the Miami offensive line, without Miami's skill players. That is what their offense will look like. Honestly 17 points might be high.

Come on mane... Memphis was 89th in total defense and 94th in scoring defense last year. They faced 2 P5 opponents, and gave up an avg of 51 ppg. They gave up 237 yds rushing a game in those 2 games.

I expect a close high scoring game. Whoever has the key TO will lose

I don't think Ole Miss will have trouble scoring, but I do think they will have trouble stopping Memphis. Memphis has a 6'3 227 pound RB (rushed for 1,100 last year), two versatile slot guys, a returning 1k yard receiver, a good TE, and an experienced QB and Ole Miss is breaking in a new defense first game of the year on the road against all of that.

I see Ole Miss's DBs, particularly safeties, and DE's that are now converted OLBs having issues in this game.

Don't care as long as Memphis wins by 7.

Ole Miss Depth chart released

OL looks like shit
WR corps got short in height real quick
I've heard of about 3 guy on their defense

You know how I feel about practice reports, but my rebel family says Moore is the gonna explode this year based on how he's performed in practice. They say the defense is gonna be bad, again

Moore may be great but he's still only 5'9" & their OL stinks.

Will be interesting to see how much they can get the ball to him

Another factor for OM at WR is their ability to block becomes much more important in their new offense, and that overall drop in size doesn't bode well in that area.

Rich Rod is more run focused but do they really have the OL to run the ball. If they can't run it on Memphis it will be loooooong season for them.

Ole Miss is starting a career backup tight end at left tackle against Memphis. That should be fun.

A bad OL is probably not what the Rebels need. They're starting a guy that played in 4 games last year and has never started a college game. His backups......two true Freshman.

Hell, with aj, metcalf, and lodge last season, Moore had 36 rec 398 yds last year.

ETA... totally different offensive philosophy though

Yep, that's why I don't get pointing out OM is memphis' super bowl... this is an absolute must have for Luke and OM

I don't think the importance is lost on OM. If they lose any of their first four games, the wheels could come REAL fast. And if that's the case I don't know that Luke makes it to the Egg Bowl.

They won't stop memphis at all. They better hope golden corral can put some points up or it's gonna get ugly. (Memphis defense does suck though).

Who in the athletic department would be call the shots to fire anyone. Same for their Chancellor, not sure who is running education or sports. Just saying.

Listen to Luke's presser. He's worried. You could tell by the way he was discussing the game. It sounded like he was really concerned about his defense. He knows they are going to be pitiful.
