They even talked about 2nd year coaches making a step forward. Zero mentions.

Well, they each got to pick their choice of second year coach who will excel the most. They said Jimbo, Scott Frost, and Mario Cristobal. It wasn't like there was a whole discussion on the topic.

He may be a better coach this year but improvement, in the media's eyes, is largely based on W's and L's so why mention a guy whose team will likely have the same or similar record?

They do the same thing every year.

They only cover AP top 25 teams & the media gets to decided who those are, especially at first before wins & losses start making them rank other people.

They were just talking about the Heisman & Herby said "Brand" was a big factor. The college football media is brutal, but they've been consistently brutal

The college football media is a bunch of mindless lemmings that wouldn’t know a linebacker from a fullback.

On the ESPN bottomline, they have a running scroll of "Notable QB transfers" and Tommy Stevens isn't listed while Kelly Bryant, Northwestern's new QB, Jacob Eason, & 1 other were.

Again, they are mindless.

What's hard to understand is that we are typically respected & covered by the media from the middle of the year till some point in February, but then at some point they remove us from the story for some reason.

By Week 3 or 4, we'll be a part of every Gameday shows & scroll at the bottom. Just not sure why we always get the preseason boot

Exactly.

Under dawgs!

There's difference between "underdawgs" & "Irrelevant dawgs"

To build our program & recruiting, we've got to push our brand outside of the irrelevancy it currenlty lives in.

That’s just mind blowing and completely inexcusable.

The college football media is a bunch of mindless lemmings that wouldn’t know a linebacker from a fullback.

Easily the most ignorant, dumb, & biased media of any major American sport.

They are lap dog that find pushing the same narratives & stories every year intriguing.

And finally mentioned.

They had a 10 second snippet on Tommy Stevens being named our QB

ZedFedder

They just mentioned Tommy Stevens as a transfer.

The show is for ratings. It'd be pretty dumb to spend much time on small programs like ours

Unless we are playing in a big game, I agree, but we aren't a small program. We are an SEC program that has been to 9 straight bowl games.

We should at least be mentioned when appropriate & on the scroll bar at the bottom

They spent alot more time talking about G5 schools. Teams like Houston and Boise...

There is almost some PC in them talking about those schools. It's like they feel as though they have to mention the minority so that no one gets offended

I can't believe Desmond Howard still has a job on Gameday.

Simply fascinating that a show that only cares about ratings could have such an ignorant, uninformed person on the show.

Put Marcus Spears on there

Well, obviously there is only so much time. However, one would think that mentioning 2nd year coaching MSU would get a mention considering we have a QB that was considered a major transfer and after the Manning camp with what NFL Scouts were saying we should have gotten a mention.... somewhere

The media loves communicating to us that our program is irrelevant. Especially ESPN.

It is not not mind blowing.
It is not inexcusable.

Because: It is not important.

I mean, we kind of are when you consider we are not in the running for a conference title or the CFP. To us, the suspensions are a big deal, but, to other programs, it's not a big deal. There would be no reason for them to care that much.

Really?? So Houston is ? Boise?

Nebraska?

UCF??

Sorry, but Nebraska and UCF are most definitely more news worthy than us.

It isn’t even close

Looking to much into that. All those teams finished the season better than us last year with the exception of missouri who finished roughly the same and has a much more high profile transfer as he left the defending national champs. Non-issue.
